From Lannsdowne to Mussoorie, there are 2 routes. One is via Jhahrikhal, Dwahrikhal & the other is regular one via Kotdwar Rishikesh. The first one is good only upto half of its distance. After that it is bad road, lonely, no dhabas, no mechanics etc. So if you have your own car, go via Kotdwar Rishikesh.

Ramnagar to Lansdowne
From Ramnagar to Lannsdowne, there are 2 routes. one is via Kashipur, the other is via kalagarh through the forest which is much shorter as people say. Go via Kashipur & DO NOT TAKE the forest road, as it is dangerous 'cause of elephants nd also the forest gates are closed according to whims of the forest officers, there is no fixed time for the gates to open. I lost 2.5 hours cause of this.
